John Carroll travelled to Gilman and ran into a powerful home attack, falling 25-19, 25-14, 25-12. The Patriots were right in the opening set, serving five aces in that frame alone and stringing together a four-point run late to close within six before the hosts finished it out. Jackson DeReamer attacked well throughout, Mason Proctor ran the offense capably from the setter position, and libero Tyler Olivi was excellent in defense all around, leading the team in serve-receive. John Carroll's JV also pushed Gilman in a competitive opening set before the hosts pulled away.
