at Curley

John Carroll swept Curley on the road, 25-16, 25-13, 25-22, with a dominant first two sets built on relentless serving — the Patriots put up 12 aces across the match, eight of them in the second set alone. Libero Tyler Olivi was the engine of it, serving five aces on his own and finishing with a 3.02 serve rating. Sam Butler supplied big kills at the net and Peyton Williams was a constant problem for the Curley defense, mixing hard swings with beautifully placed tips. The Patriots' block and back-court defense gave Curley very little to work with all evening, with Nathan Magness coming up with a stellar dig to keep a rally alive. Curley pushed hard in the third, closing to within two at 20-22, before John Carroll finished the match on a five-point run to take it 25-22.
