  1. 🏐 4-4 In Conference Play - On Wednesday we hosted St. Paul's where we secured a 3-1 victory, then on Friday traveled to conference-leading Loyola where we ultimately lost but played a competitive match with multiple game point chances in the 26-28 3rd set. Senior Jack Grabowski led the offense with a dozen kills and two aces across the two contests; the defense of Tyler Olivi and Brendan Stewart was stellar where they combined for 35 digs and kept the powerful Loyola attack in check. This week we have two BIG matchups against Boys Latin on Wednesday and Curley on Friday where we will look to establish ourselves in a top playoff seed!

  2. 🗓️ This Week!

    1. Monday 10/13 - Practice (upper gym, 3:30pm) - NO SCHOOL
    2. Tuesday 10/14 - Practice (lower gym, 3:30), Spirit Night at Chic Fil A (see below)
    3. Wednesday 10/15 - @ Boys Latin, JV 4:00, Varsity ~5:15
    4. Thursday 10/16 - Practice (upper gym, 3:30), Team Photos at 3:00
    5. Friday 10/17 - Home vs. Curley, JV 4:00, Varsity ~5:15

  3. ⬛️ Big Games This Week - Friday OneLove Dedication & Blackout Theme - We are in a tight race at the top of the conference with Boy's Latin & Curley where our matchups this week against them will help shape the playoff picture! If we are 1st or 2nd seed we will have a home semi-final playoff game on 11/5, and as top seed it would be against the 4 seed -which, as it stands, is St. Paul's who we have beaten twice. In addition to Friday being our OneLove dedication, the players are looking to promote this to their friends and get a student section with a "blackout" theme - let's get people coming out and supporting the team for these big games!

  4. 🐔 Chic-Fil-A Spirit Night, 10/14 - Save the date for Chic-Fil-A spirit night fundraiser! You must place a mobile order for the Bel Air Chic-Fil-A between 4-8pm using code PATRIOTS (on the Community Cares screen) and part of the proceeds will come back to our program. Spread the word and plan to grab some dinner after practice 10/14!

  5. 👕 Gear Order Arrived - We should be all good on the gear order - but let me know if you have not received anything from your order!

  6. 🎉 End-Of-Season Save-The-Date 11/14 - Save the date for 11/14 where we will hold our year-end program celebration. More details to come!

  7. 🏐 Season Schedule - The game schedule can be seen at the jcvb-2025-schedule Spreadsheet, on my JCVB iCalendar, and via TeamSnap - I have loaded the full practice schedule in to the iCalendar, and I will be keeping it up to date as things change. Currently, I am keeping JV & Varsity together in one calendar.
