🗓️ This Week - We will be practicing 3:30-5:30 each of Monday-Friday in the upper gym. There are a few days where we have the lower gym available as well - but both JV & Varsity will meet together in the upper gym to start practice. Reminder that Thursday is the welcome reception at 6pm in the courtyard (more details below) and players should probably plan to go right from practice - we will keep it a lighter day generally.

🏐 Try-outs Completed - We held 3 great days of workouts/tryouts to start out last week. I have attached the current tentative roster assignments between JV and Varsity. At the reception Thursday I will be elaborating on the role of each team. I also want to shout out some of our (impressive) agility/fitness test leading numbers:

👕 Gear Store - Last Week to Place Orders! - This is the last week to place gear orders. Please visit https://jcboysvolleyball2025.itemorder.com/shop/home/ to view the options and place orders. The store will close Sunday, August 17th! Orders should arrive 2-3 weeks after that, putting us on track for gear to arrive before regular season conference matches start.

🎊 Welcome Reception this Thursday - 8/14 - We will hold a welcome reception in the courtyard from 6-7:30pm this Thursday, 8/14. This is intended for all Varsity & JV players and their parents to introduce the program, welcome newcomers, and to kick off the season. We will have food, cover some announcements & details for the season, and answer any questions you may have. I have loaded the full practice schedule in to the iCalendar, and I will be keeping it up to date as things change. Currently, I am keeping JV & Varsity together in one calendar.
