at Boys Latin
L Sets 1-3
John Carroll travelled to Boys Latin and took the hosts far closer than the 3-1 scoreline suggests, losing 25-23, 24-26, 17-25, 23-25 in a high-intensity match. The Patriots claimed the opener 25-23 and had chances in two of the three that followed, falling by just two points in both the second and the fourth. It marks a considerable step forward from the sides' September meeting, which Boys Latin swept. Jackson DeReamer led the match with 20 kills, and Peyton Williams was outstanding in every phase — 14 kills, three aces and a 2.20 serve-receive rating across a team-high 41 receptions. Nate Magness served a perfect 15-for-15, Mason Proctor dealt 37 assists, and Matthew Gostomski did excellent work at the block. The Patriots' passing was the best it has been all season, the team rating 2.13 in serve receive, and they hit 47 kills across the four sets.
