Chuck Gordy was taking part in an adult baseball game at the Delmarva Shorebirds stadium when, in the second inning, he suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest. The situation could have turned tragic in seconds, but thanks to the quick thinking and decisive actions of those around him, Chuck survived. His teammates and nearby spectators immediately began performing CPR, while another participant ran to retrieve an AED from their car.
